It was tough for me. I went with the werewolf though mostly due to the possible control they have of their best mode. But if you use every possible anime/movie/book series/comic/game as a reference excluding Twilight because those are just physically tougher and a RANDOM FEW had strange mental abilities( abilities they originally had as humans to a small degree or it isn't a vampiric ability to start with just an enhanced human one) and no real werewolves just changelings. But there is the all powerful vamp lord Dracula/Alucard from Hellsing which could control blood and is nearly immortal, but he is the strongest and most powerful so he is the perfect version any COULD become. Werewolves had a nearly identical legend attached to them with varying degrees of control being the difference between the stories but also having random abilities granted to them from their human/pre-infected form. IT is nearly impossible to tell due to some any varying legends/myths/tellings about the two races that change to every different world/story/universe that is is hard. But I think wolves mostly because they are the closest to my favorite animal foxes and near my favorite mythical being Kitsunes.
